The AstroJyotisha Festival/Vrat Calendar computes the complete Hindu calendar for any year — all major festivals, Ekadashi fasting days, Purnimas, Amavasyas, solar and lunar eclipses, planetary ingresses, Sankrantis, and the rare Adhik Maas. All dates are calculated using classical Vedic astronomy with Lahiri Ayanamsha.

What is the Festival / Vrat Calendar?

In Vedic tradition, the Panchanga (five limbs of time) governs auspicious timing for all activities. The annual almanac extends this to the full year — showing when each Tithi, festival, eclipse, and planetary event occurs so practitioners can plan their spiritual life in harmony with cosmic rhythms.

What is Adhik Maas?

Adhik Maas (intercalary month) is an extra lunar month that occurs approximately every 2.5–3 years when the Sun does not change rashi during an entire lunar month. It is a period of intensified spiritual practice — regular auspicious activities are deferred, but worship, charity, and japa carry extra merit.

Ekadashi — The Sacred 11th Tithi

Ekadashi (the 11th Tithi of each lunar fortnight) is observed as a day of fasting and devotion to Vishnu. There are 24–25 Ekadashis per year, each with a specific name and significance. Fasting on Ekadashi is said to purify the mind and grant liberation from karmic cycles.
